Can I work on my car when it’s in storage?
No. One of the extra layers of our security is that we do not allow any customers or visitors to our storage warehouses.
What’s the minimum amount of time I can store my vehicle?
Our minimum term is 1 month.
Can I access my car whenever I want?
All vehicle collections must be within our usual opening hours. We try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible, however, we ask for as much notice as possible but a minimum of 24 hours’ notice so that we can get the vehicle ready for you.
How does the billing work?
You will be invoiced monthly, payment is in advance and by direct debit.
Where are you located?
All collections and drop offs are at our sister company workshops, Majestic Motors Ltd. From here a member of our team will check the vehicle in with you and complete the contract.
Does my car have to driveable?
No, we can arrange collection and delivery of your vehicle for you to bring to our warehouse. You are welcome to deliver the vehicle to our workshop yourself, however, there is a surcharge applied to non-running vehicles to cover the cost of moving it to the warehouse. If you use our collection service we will waive the surcharge.
Do I have to keep my vehicle insured?
Yes. We are fully insured, however, we do not own the vehicle and therefore you should keep it insured. You may want to inform your insurer the vehicle has been placed in professional storage.
Can you collect my vehicle for me?
Yes we can. Please provide the vehicle details and the collection postcode and we will confirm a price for you.
When I drop the vehicle off, how long does it take to book it in?
It usually takes around 10 – 15 minutes to go through the contract.
Is the storage under cover?
Yes, our storage warehouses are fully secure and dry.
What security do you have?
Our warehouses are in discrete locations. We have CCTV cameras inside and out and covering all approaches to the buildings. Our units are fully alarmed.
Is your storage heated?
Yes, but very low. The thermostat is set at around 5 degrees, this is enough to keep the units dry and above the dew point, avoiding condensation.
Do I have to tell my insurer?
All insurers are different, we would advise you to speak to your insurer and let them know the vehicle is in a professional storage facility.
Can I drop a vehicle off outside of opening times?
Yes, with prior arrangement and at your own risk. We have areas on site where you can park the vehicle and a secure key drop off.
Can I leave another car with you when I collect mine? I.e. swap?
Yes. Within reason and as long as both vehicles are comparable in size.
My car isn’t worth much money, I’m sure it’s not like the other cars you have in storage.
We treat every vehicle in our care equally and with the upmost respect, it might not be worth much in monetary value but it’s worth something to you and that’s good enough for us.
Can you clean my Vehicle for me?
Yes, we have a valeter and can arrange for anything from a quick wash to a full detail clean and polish.
My Vehicle will need an MOT or service, can you arrange this for me?
Yes, we can arrange this for you with our local trusted garages or facilitate taking the vehicle to your preferred provider.
Do you store EV’s?
Yes, however, we do not have a charging facility on site. Any EV should be stored with a minimum of 50% charge and monitored over time to ensure it doesn’t drop to low. We ask that any EV dropped off has a minimum of 30% charge remaining, depending on the length of time you intend to store we may need to top the charge up occasionally.
Do I need to drain the Fuel tank?
No, however, we ask for a minimum of a ¼ tank to be left in the vehicle.
Do you keep the battery on charge?
Yes, all vehicles stored with us are fitted with a C-Tek battery conditioner charger unless you specifically ask us not to.
I have my own battery charger can you use that?
No. We are only able to use our own electrical equipment which must be PAT tested for insurance purposes.
Will my vehicle be covered?
Yes, we fit a soft cover to prevent any dust settling on the vehicle.
